Shades of Gambela…there was a slaughter house right outside our gate in Gambela where people would gather after sunset and catch-up on community time until late every night…loudly.

The birthday boy drove all the way to our next stop…and I enjoyed every minute of it. It took us a while to get out of Swaziland because we had decided to go north instead of west as it saved us from doubling back once we got back in South Africa.
