Honduras
Ministry
Bishop Lloyd Allen has asked Joe and Tina to develop a Ministry Training School for the Diocese of Honduras in the Atlantida E Islas De La Bahia Deanery which includes the Bay Island of Roatan, La Ceiba and Tela on the North Coast. This school will involve both the clergy and lay members of the Diocese. Presently, they make several trips a year to establish relationships and to encourage the clergy and people of the Atlantida E Islas De La Bahia Deanery. A vital part of this ministry is to involve those with experience in various ministries and skills in the school. You could be a part of this school on a short term basis or long term. Let us know if you are interested.

Call
Joe and Tina have been involved in short-term mission trips since 1989 and have had an interest in missions since 1983. They began working with Bishop Allen in Tegucigalpa in 1994 and after hurricane Mitch hit Honduras in 1998, Joe and Charles Terry of St. Luke’s, Dallas, TX formed a network of congregations and individuals, called Lloyd’s Angels, to help Bishop Allen with his work at St. Mary’s and All Angels in Tegucigalpa. In 2008, Lloyd’s Angels was changed to Anglican Honduras Hope and Joe sits on its board as a founding member. Tina has developed VBS & Youth Retreat curriculums each year for the teams that have gone down to do the VBS & Youth Retreats for St. Mary’s School, El Hogar, and El Cruce. They have also begun leading a Retreat for those who have been to Happening in the Diocese, as well as leading Teaching Missions in various parts of the Diocese.
