Several years ago I was blessed in being able to spend time with my family at Ocean Isle, NC. During the week I learned about the Loggerhead Turtle and the dedicated people who “keep watch” over the nests in order to protect the unseen treasures lying beneath the sand.  It is an exciting time when a nest begins to “boil”. “Boiling” occurs when the eggs have started to hatch and after dark the baby turtles begin to come to the surface. The well trained “Turtle Watchers” provide a protective barrier and carefully instruct bystanders not to use flash lights or camera flashes so as not to confuse the little pilgrims. When the baby turtles hatch they follow the light reflecting on the ocean to lead them to their new homes.

It reminds me of our own prayer life.  We pray (bury the eggs) and God hears those prayers.  Sometimes we think the prayers have been unheard or forgotten.  The answer may be out of our natural sight, but God has not forgotten and He hears all our prayers.  In His perfect time and in His perfect will, the prayers hatch and the answers are revealed. 

 Sometimes the answers to our prayers come quickly and at other times we wait and wait and wait.  The Holy Spirit reminds me about when Daniel prayed. “… Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.” (Daniel 10:13 NKJV)

Trust Good who hears all our prayers and answers them in accordance with His perfect will.  Follow the Light, Jesus Christ!
